Precedent (after the fact)

SW7 Nation has determined that we need some by-laws and perhaps even a constitution as we continue our plan of taking over changing the world.

By majority vote, we determine that each person's share of the housing cost (if any) should be paid before we gather, when the house is reserved.

Whoever has reserved the house should let others know each person's share of the cost if all seven attend.

After determining to the best of our ability if we can attend, each person needs to commit by paying.  Alas, no refunds for last-minute crises.

Airfare, gasoline expenses, and food expenses will be shared (and extensively calculated) except for the following conditions:

  • If there are fewer than five people, Barbara will adjust the amount of airfare she asks us to pay.
  • If one of us combines air travel to join us with other personal or family visits, we may decide reduce the amount of airfare we ask the group to pay.
Note:  How long can we afford to fly and gather in beautiful spaces?  We have changed from starving graduate students to persons in mid-life with comfortable salaries to retired persons living on a fixed income.

"With close friends and family, we have to be especially careful with money," said Barbra's father.

Persons handling the financial calculations as a gathering ends need to have mathematical skills (at least to 9th-grade level--preferably an MBA).
